Event Description:This seminar organised by Wallonia Foreign Trade and Investment (AWEX) Office in Bangkok will see the ASEAN IPR SME Helpdesk deliver a presentation on the Helpdesk and related services as well as an update on the Helpdesk services and the IP landscape in Myanmar.
Myanmar has taken its first real steps towards establishing a concrete system of protecting intellectual property rights (IPR). The country’s trade mark Law is now being drafted and reviewed, and is due to take effect soon. The Myanmar Intellectual Property Office will also be set up and will soon be able to accept and register applications for trade mark registration. The Helpdesk expert present at this briefing will update companies on the latest and anticipated developments in the field as Myanmar continues to emerge as a country of significant interest for European investment.
